Hi all. This thread is not intended to "bad mouth" Jon or anything like that, it is more to make those that read it aware of my situation and also to get the attention of Jon.

So from the beginning:

Around June last year (not 100% sure about dates) me and Jon traded phones and accessories. I sent him the new (at the time) Samsung P300 (the calculator phone! ) that I had had for a short while. He in turn sent me a vodafone, white W900 fully boxed with all bits and bobs. Amongst other things he agreed to include two 1GB memory stick pro duo cards. It actually turned up late (I still have the letter he sent with the phone!) and also minus one of the 1GB memory sticks. I should mention now that although the phone was advertised here it was also advertised over on SE-NSE. The deal went through on SE-NSE as Jon was more active on there at the time. This thread has been writen here as this is where Jon is currently contacting me. This thread also will be duplicated over on SE-NSE. A mention about MikLSP, thanks Mik for trying to help me with the situation at the time.
I tried to contact Jon about the situation but never got a reply. After a while I just gave up as a 1GB memory card wasn't worth a trip to see him.

Over a year later an issue arose here on Esato with a blocked phone that had done the rounds on the board. Here is the thread. Out of interest I took a look in and saw it was to do with Jon aka voda_jon. I decided to put a bit of input into the thread which turned out well for me. Jon sent me a PM asking what phone I was currently using so that he could either get me a high capacity card or send me some money to make up for the loss. After a fairly quick discussion we agreed that I would text him on the 18th of August as it was pay day for him and he would send me some money. I sent him a PM on the 15th or maybe 16th as a reminder but received no reply. I text him on the 16th again as a reminder and received no reply. Then on the 18th I text him again and I think sent him a PM. Again I received no reply. Today I sent him yet another text with no reply upto now.

If anyone is in contact with Jon please could you either ask him to contact me or give me some details so I can contact him more effectively.

Thanks

I don't think you get what I am saying here. The point isn't that I lost out on what I should have got over a year ago, it is that recently he has promised to reimberse me, but then has gone against it.

That's when you should've turned to ebay MissUK. The seller obviously sold the phone with seriously inaccurate information, if after waiting 2 weeks say you got no joy from the seller, put it in ebays hands, pretty sure you'd have got a result. I've had to get ebay to step in on a couple of items I've purchased in the past, 1 being a phone, and within less than 24 hours the seller was in touch trying to put things right. Depends how much they value good feedback. Anyway, gives the boys and girls at ebay something to do, that's what you pay your fees for

Coxy, totally agree mate, if he'd left things as they were you'd not be so bothered, put it down to how some people are in life, but the fact he wanted to compensate for the lacking goods in the original deal, he should be doing the right thing now. Not dealt with Jon before, so unfortunately can't help with any other means of contact, though I'm sure someone here will no doubt be in a position to help. Hopefully Jon will make good soon enough. Hope it works out for you.

I've had a few PMs, one from a certain member with very good info so thanks for that (you know who you are! ).

At this stage all I can do is advise everyone against dealing with Jon, which is a shame.

Again thanks for the support.

@coxy - I guess Jon has a GOOD reputation here as a member . . When you said that you sent him some SMS and got NO reply, then why NOT call him directly So, you can have a short-talk ?

Bit of an update here (cheers jojo for bringing this up) I did try once or twice but got no reply or straight to answer phone.

Anyway last week got a text from Jon saying he was having some problems (yes I know that's what they all say) and that he would get back to me ASAP. I text back and asked him to text me every few days to update but have got nothing up to now.

Just sent another text so we will see what happens.
