Hello,
I have finally setup a team for the Esato forum.
To quickly explain it, it's just an application that runs in the background on your computer which performs calculations and processes data using your CPU to help the research of Cancer and many other diseases.
Please install you could help save lives.
Just a word of advice I would recommend using the Command Line version of the client instead because it runs alot smoother and completes calculations alot faster.
So enough of the information and here are the details.
Download:

Here is the link to our team stats:
http://vspx27.stanford.edu/cg[....]y?qtype=teampage&teamnum=84076
Put team number 84076 and just configure it to your needs.
Thanks for all you help and support.

I'll hop on from my ps3 when i get time..but i'm not sure if many of the pc users here are aware of the benefits of
folding@home..you might as well need to tell 'em in detail what this is all about...

what i understand in short terms;
you'll give your idle CPU math inputs, while your CPU/PS3 etc. does some part, many others do the same. THis way medical and ciental calculations could be done with this network of many computers combined.
just an odd example; nasa could calculate the orbit of stars etc surrounding us. but also medical treatments could be solved / discovered.

For those of you who are intrested in letting your computer help science.
Download boinc, its the main program where you can attach alot of projects 2.
Folding@home is bassed on boinc.
The most famous projects are: seti, einstein, climate prediction, µfluids, rosetta, and many more
It doesn't slow down your computer, i've had it running for several years.

basically mate the more people you have in your team the more points you earn and the more help you provide, you don win anything but its a nice feeling to no that you helping out and you can see how other people are doing as well, if you mean explain on the program just look at the top of the page and click on the links
