Has anyone managed to work out how to change the time/time zone so that the time stamp on received SMS are stated correctly? I am in Kenya and all my time stamps are 2 hours ahead!

AS far as I am aware the time stamp comes from the network so you will have to get them to change their clocks.

I have checked (I am the CEO of the network) and the network clocks are correct. others using different phones do not have this problem.

Well it always use to get the time from the phone that you sent the text too, so for example.

Text sent at :15:00 was succesully recieved at 16:00 by blah

At least thats how it works when I send text messages to people 1 hour ahead, and I get the confirm text back within a few seconds.

So I guess it must vary between companies etc.

btw: if your the CEO of a network, can't you ask someone, below you in the food chain to find a solution to the problem?

I've been experiencing this for a while now, and no luck so far...but in the other topic, DragonEye mentioned about it's a mix problem btw the phone and the network. I live in Canada Eastern Time zone, and whenever I received sms, it's always shows 4 hours behind. When I went to Buffalo, NY, and received sms, it becomes 1 hour ahead...and they are at the same time zone..so, I don't know..it's kinda messed up!
