I've just found that the switch that starts the camera from the lens cover has broke on my K810.
The switch is also part of the circuit that makes up the flash (switch, batteries, sensor & xenon flash run on the same circuit)

I'can't get a K810 one anywhere but I can get a K800 one from CNN.
The K800 one looks the same except that the flash batteries are black and the K810 flash batteries are blue.

Just wondering if anyone knows if the K800 one will fit a K810 ?

If you haven't modded your phone, your warranty should be able to cover that.

The phone isn't modded. Completly standard.
Thats good then

I'll take it into the service center near me when my P1 comes and see if they will sort it.

by batteries you probably mean capacitors, these are what supply the flash with a sudden burst of energy, I presume that they will be the same on k810i and k800, I could perhaps test tomorrow if you like. When i get my faulty k810i delivered.

I've just ordered some parts from CNN for my Orange K750 project and noticed they have the K800 flash circuit in stock.

If you could check the fitting for me I'd be very grateful

k810i is 14 microfarads k800i is 12 microfards, to be honest I think the difference is negligible , however please dont quote me on this.

I have not been able to test them, but I assume they will work, they will not explode, simply give a slightly brighter/dimmer flash, which will probably not be noticed.
