I was wondering if it is my settings or other. In the P910i I was able to get internet through the desk stand when the stand was attached to my computer. However with the desk stand for the P990 attached to my computer I am not able to get internet through that.
I used to use that to do certain updates on my p910i and would like to be able to do that on the p990 especially since I am now at a place where I won't have access to wireless internet for some time.

Is it me who needs to change some setting or is it just that way with the P990?

Hey there! Welcome to the wonderful (and equally frustrating) UIQ3 experience.

You cannot access the internet via the desktop stand, at least not without some third party software which I am aware of. You can however do this via Bluetooth and a Bluetooth Personal Area Network (PAN) which you will have to set up.

Is the firmware update via SEUS what you mean with 'certain updates' ?
