I have a question about the Data counters on the call cost menu (K810i). I have an allowance of 1MB per month and want to keep tabs of how much GPRS I am using.
The data counter at the moment says:-
All sessions sent: 52897B
Received: 139341B
I am confused as to how much I have used. Do I take notice of the sent or received? And will say 1MB if/when it reaches that amount.
Thanks in advance.

divide it with 1024, then u ll get mb result. but notice, that the shown datas arent always equal to the "real" datas, as i was told once by the operator. next to it, u also have to check, if its counted in "1 by 1" or soemtims operators count it in 52kb steps

All sessions sent: 52897B = (52,897B or 52.897kb)
Received: 139341B = (139,341B or 139.341kb)
1 thousand B = 1kb
1 thousand kb = 1MB. (roughly)

Actually you need to divide by 1024 to get the KB as it measures in bytes. You then need to divide that by 1024 again to get MB. You need to add together the sent and recieved as you will get charged for both.

Thanks for your replies. I am not a heavy user of gprs. Usually only checks emails on phone when I am away at the caravan and don't have computer access.
Don't use it for downloading games or ringtones, I always do that via the pc and then transfer it to my phone.
