Hi. Just bought my K810i today. I'm in Vancouver BC with Rogers Wireless Service.

My Software Info says that I'm using R6BC002 ----_HONG_KONG

Even though I've changed the language to English, there are times when I get some Chinese Menus, ie. the disclaimer pages for game demos.

Would I be correct in saying that my only option to change the firmware to a North American one to get rid of any chinese stuff on my phone is to go through WOTAN and the other pay-sites?

And also, am I being too picky? I just don't know what else is gonna surprise me on this phone because of the Hong Kong status.

On WotanServer, pick up Europe 5 CDA. It contains English, Dutch, French and Italian. It's China-free.

You can also look at topsony and download your firmware. You can try AMERICA as well perhaps suit you more. http://www.topsony.com/forum/local_links.php?catid=544

Don't know whether you (K810) can use XS++ 1.6.8 but if you can you can flash your firmware for free. Maybe still need 2euro to gain download slot (or post 20x).
