sorry cause im not that much of a techie but i know that i need to be able to use fring. however i cant seem to install it in my p1i.
it is asking me to download and install this: cah1621023_semcvoipaudio.sis
also do i need to update my firmware?
i hope somebody can help me out. thanks!

You have to download that file from Fring site and install as well.
No need to update firmware if you have the last release

when u filled the infos on the frin site, u ll get ann sms, with a link. u have to go on that given link and download, then activate your acc, its very simple.

And the latest version (3.20(25)) requires 2 plugins:

But keep in mind that the StorageWizard may not work after installing Fring.

how do i know what version of firmware i have? im using the p1i?
i can see these versions on the text file under the file manager

Should be the same as with P990:
In standby:
More > Status > Scroll down to PDA (or Organizer) ver.
You should have the initial fw version, R6D23, if you haven't yet performed any fw update...
