Megapixels are often thought to mean the quality of the picture (ask my cousins), when in reality they mean the size of the picture. People would think that a 2 megapixel camera would be better quality than a 1.3 megapixel camera, whereas in reality a 1.3 megapixel camera is just a 1280x1024 picture, whereas the 2.0 megapixel camera is just a 1632x1224 image. Compare the quality of an S700 1.3 MP pic to a W880 or K610 2.0 MP pic.
Phones with good megapixel cameras:
1.3- S700
2.0- K750, W800, W810, W900, P990
3.2- K800/K810, T650
5.0- K850
Phones with poor megapixel cameras:
1.3- K600, V800, Z550, K510, W550/W600
2.0- Z610, Z710, K610, W660, W850, W880, W710, K530, W610, K550
3.2- W960, P1
I hope that helps- don't get misled by the '2 MP' sticker on the w880 etc.

its clear, that fone cams without af arent that good as the ones with af... so if u wanna have a "cheaper" 2 mp fone without af, take a nokia, those are very good. sad, that se cant offer the same quality as the nokias ( without af ), do wondering, where they gone wrong

Nope, same res, different sensor. S700 has a quality CCD sensor and shits all over all SE cameras for quality. MP is getting a little low for continued use, and the handset itself can't take more than 128MB memory so it's useless as an mp3 player, but in pure quality stakes, S700 is in a league of it's own.
