Cant remember whether any oher of the P series phones had this, but does anyone know whether the P1i has the standby clock when the screen goes dark? If so, where can I activate it? Thanks

Rather than pressing the screen or a hard button to see the time I just lightly press the camera button and the screen lights up. You know if you've got a text or missed call by the flashing light on the bottom. I like the system, it saves battery power.

I don't think theres any visible difference between pressing the camera key or any other key for that matter. Except for the * key, which displays a slightly different message.

If you want to look at the clock while the screen on the P1i is dark....

1. if the keys are locked, just press anything and it will tell you the time.

2. If you put a password so that everytime your screen goes dark, you have to enter the password, then press either the UP arrow key (i think its called the shift key, the key that's below the letter z) and the ALT button.

Hope the helped anybody.

there's a nice app called clocks that gives you a nice big clock when in screensaver mode. you still have to touch the screen or press a key to see it though

Big difference my friend, it's a nice soft and tactile button! Press it lightly, as if autofocusing.

@remirez

when the phone is locked, no matter how much you touch the screen, nothing will happen. The only way is to touch a hard key.
