Actually i went to buy a w580 but when i saw p1 my mind changed WOW its a awesome beauty at a very good price. But when i checked reviews on MR it was positive but on MB its totally negative review for a product like this. M confused and disapointed. Now i need to know the real thing cause i really loved it and i want it.

@Samlala
Why not just read the reports on this Forum from P1 users as whilst some are very happy others are not. But at least with all the information available here you may be able to decide if this is the device for you or not.

Just read the MB review of P1... U can plz forget the MB's review... They seem to be in a completly different world... It seems they hate the P1 already and wan't to necessarily give it a bad review... Their review is too negative.... Haven't they ever used a P series phone??? They have but it seems they haven't...

A year ago, perhaps, but not nowadays.

MR was rather critical of the K850, the imaging flagship for SE this year, surely if they were so pro SE its review would be way more hyped than it got given. Although yes, MR used to be bias towards SE awhile back.

Hi,
I own a P1 and also read MB review.
There are some valid points in the review.
For example I run EMO (a different push email application, similar to ActiveSynch) and also experienced some minor glitches with synching of the calender entries sometimes being disabled (email always worked perfectly for me). But a forced synch always fixed that problem.
Like the reviewer I too miss a d-pad and soft keys (although I never had any problems to select menu items on the touch screen using a fingernail).
But these are minor irritants at worst and certainly more to do with individual tastes than any fault with the phone.
I personally have never had any problems with the WiFi implementation on the P1 and the author only seemed to have problems with one access point and not with others. So how he can conclude that the P1 has a WiFi problem does not make sense to me when it is most likely an unfortunate combination in this one case.
And we know that the P1 is triband GSM without EDGE. The P1 is not optimized for the US market, it is optimized for the rest of the world and works in the US. So that is not a surprise and should not be a criticism of the phone IMHO.
Finally, I too would have liked to have HSDPA, but 3G works well for me and 384kbit/s is still decently fast. I certainly am happy with the P1 on a regular 3G network.
I personally am very positive towards the P1 and think MB was far too harsh.
