Am getting really frustrated with O2 just lately.
Both my husband and myself are having problems with not being able to send or receive photos. Both of us have took out a contract with 02 and transferred our O2 payg numbers over.
Both of us have spoken to customers services. Hubby has phoned them on and off and Tuesday was promised a call back as he was told it's a problem from the account side and not the phone. No call back. He has phoned again today and had difficulty getting the person to understand as they were not english. Person said they would email the settings through to do it manually, but no email. Can't see how that would work anyway, as O2 have already said the problem is their side.
I phoned today as well, as I have just discovered I inherited the same problem after my number has been transferred over to my new sim card. Spoke to technical support and they have said also it's a problem with my account. He tried to send the settings through whilst I was on the phone, they came through but still picture messaging won't work. He has said he will call me back. O2 have usually been ok, but just lately I am having my doubts.
Does anyone have any advise as to what to do?
Hubby said he is going to the O2 shop where he got the phone from, but I know they will just say to phone customer services.
Hubby is using Nokia 6300 and I am using Sony Ericsson K810i.

as you have a k810 then you can get the wap/picture message settings sent direct to your phone from the sonyericsson.co.uk web site,go to support, phone set up.
nokia should have a similar set up.

Thanks. Tried that and it still doesn't work. I get the message "service not available" when trying to send a mms.

Phoned up O2 again this afternoon and spoke to a nice lady. For some reason there was a block on my MMS? WTF? All sorted now and can send and receive photo messages.
Although my husband still can't. He bought his phone from O2 high street shop, and customer services have told him to take the phone down there and get them to sort it out.

thats aweird bug then, cos normally sms, mms arent blocked, some extra services should be asked to get free by the op, not standard features. maybe its the same with your husbands fone too?

Contacted O2 by email on Sunday and stated that it's not good enough. Like you say MMS is a standard feature and told them I am not getting the full service I am paying for.
A questionaire came through by return asking things like any error messages, does the phone work with another sim (yes), Does you sim card work in another phone (no).
Swapped sim cards with my orange payg and put this in his phone and or course it worked. Gave O2 a lengthy discription of what I did and the MMs is working now. Seemed to be enough to get their arses into gear when I told them that the supplied phone worked with an Orange sim card.
So we are both up and running now.

I had exactly the same problem when I went over too o2. It took 2 calls for someone to sort it out.

The best of it is we were both on Payg with O2 and switched to a contract and took our numbers with us, so somewhere it had happened in the transition.
