hello everyone.
i am new to this forum and also new to SE phones. i have a basic nokia3610 phone and i am planning to buy new one. i am planning to switch to SE now. i have checked the following phones

SE K750i and SE K550i . these are actually priced very close to each other (Rs 8000-9000 in India) so i was just wondering is it good to buy K750i over K550i since i heard K550i camera is not as good as K750i.
since i am tight budget i have ruled out w810i even though i know its really good phone..

so pls advise shud i still go for k750i which released 2 yrs back..

I have checked prev forum threads abt k750i but just wanted to clarify whether to buy this phone now..

Thanks

Arvind

Still an excellent phone even now, and has better specs than a lot of new phones that are out now!

I would also say go for it and get the K750i. The K550i is an excellent phones, but as you said it's pic quality isn't as good, though it's a slimmer handset and has apps like Faceward and TrackID, though of course not much good if you don't use them!

imo yes, if u are after a nice cam and some more nice media features, go for it. but if u have the chance to choose between more models, i would suggets w810, i liked it much more

Hi guys ....

I also was in this dilemma as 2 take whether a k550i or k750i for my sister. I have a k550i that is 4 months old and I am pretty happy with its performance. But due 2 the value 4 money, I and my sister decided 2 go for a k750i and bought it for 7900/- (Indian money) + 1 GB memory(Rs.700) + walkman headset (Rs.450 , the branded one) .

I was very happy with the sound clarity as the mega bass feature , matched the walkman clarity. But i was pretty dissappointed with the camera clarity, as all the pictures were very noisy. Also the pics taken with flash had a yellow tint in their colors. Anyway my k550i wins the battle now.

So my advice ...... if u know how to access the file system of new 750i with CID 49,then buy it and modify the camera drivers, and then u can get good pictures...... But i u dont know to play around with those stuff, then get a k550i which will give u very very good pics in daylight and average pics in night time....

regards

kel

Why not? the K750 excels at everything, except for the screen (which is not that bad in itself).

i would have go for the k750 too, k550 is really not a big deal, even its a cybrshot "branded" one, the pic quality is questinable imo.

I think K550 is better choice. K750 has older platform that it uses. Plus the user interface is much more reliable at the K550 - and better display too .
