If I connect both the USB cable and Charger to the Cradle, and enable the USB charge function of P990, then it will be charge by the USB cable or the Charger?

If the phone is charged by the USB, it will say so via the Icon on the phone!

From the icon on the phones screen! Whenever you plug it in via USB it asks you if you want Phone or File connection. And then you have an Icon on the phone with little arrows left and right and if they move, I think then the battery charges. Also, the green led will light up.

Oic, but that USB icon will be there even if not charge via USB, and that little arrow just info you there are some usb usage, not charging. The problem is there seems nothing to tell it is charging by USB or power supply, as the green will always light up when it is charging, no matter it is via USB or the charger.

Well, you could disable USB charging and see if there is any difference in apprearance

Some people even suggest that since the algorithm for USB charging can be bad for the battery as charging it from the power supply uses a different one.

I think that's why I have my USB charging disabled to begin with.

Correct, the arrows indicate that a data transfer is in progress.

I think that the charging via charger has priority and disables usb charging.
