Does anyone out there know if the colour screens fade with use / age or even give up after a long while?
Or do they go on for ever?

Get ready for one of the Nokia fanboys coming in saying the Nokia phones have triple that lifetime, and that this perfectly shows how Shite SE phones are, and that they dont care about there consumers.
But seriously, yeah, I think the 5-8 years is about right, depends on how much u use the phone. That is the optimum lifetime though, it doesnt take into account shock damage and such.
LCD screen do not last forever, that shows on old laptops for instance. Even Plasma screens worth thousands of dollars dont have a much longer life that 5-8 years.

Oh, No! That means, in 2069, when there is still rumours flying around about a T68i replacement, the calender feature will be redundent!
