Hi,
I constantly keep receiving time update notifications on the P1. Anyone have any idea how to stop this? I am on Vodafone UK.

from the stanby screen click on the time

then click more > set time & date > more > set updates > change update system time to never

that will disable it but the question is also why your phone is becoming incorrect so there is a need to update it.

have you noticed the time being incorrect (say by an hour) before the auto update occurs? if so then perhaps there is some incorrect time setting on your phone or perhaps pc that you sync with...

@himlims

The time update setting is in the time settings

@derwill

make sure that your time is set correctly & 'current time zone' is set to GMT.

Tap time > more > set location

This is a network feature. The time doesn't necessarily have to be incorrect, each time a phone is turned on and connected to a network you can get that message if it is set to adjust automatically.

I have the same problem, it's caused by the GPRS detached problem.

Don't know why GPRS is detached by default and every time I use it (and connects) the time update triggers.

I'm assuming some region specific firmwares have this prob (never experience before with SE, GPRS was always automatically attached).

I'm on R6A

any suggestions?
