I'm planning to get a new phone soon. Maybe this weekend. I'm pretty much decided on gettiing the W580i, but after hearing about the keypad problem, i'm having second thoughts. But it won't really bother if the paint chips off, as long as SE would be addressing it. Although, I'm looking for an alternative just in case I change my mind in the last minute.
I was wondering, which of the three to get W580, W850, w880 or a K810? I'm pretty much a music oriented and photo oriented person. Although I know that the features are plusses for me. since I have an iPod and a digicam to for music and photo. but i was wondering which of them would be a better value of money. When I sampled a w850, the keypad bothered me. also with the K810, the keypad too, and i was wondering if it's media player and the sound is loud enough as that of the walkman phones.
I was thinking of getting a slim phone too, that is why w880 is on my mind.. but it lacked the radio..
I currently have a W550i.. hmmm before that I had K700i. so which one of the 4 should i get?
Thanks!

Why not add w610 to the list. Currently, in walkman phones, it has the best 2mp camera and yet being slim. The loudspeakers is quite loud too. Though w810 has a better camera but its now.

K810i keypad is just great, no need to worry about it. If I were you, I'd pick up K810i. Super camera! Very stable firmware.

It depends what kind of phone type (stick/candy bar, slide/clam or touchscreen/smart) and specifications you want plus the functions you would use on it, camera, music, video calling, video etc/
I had a hard choice of what phone to choose for my upgrade. I had a Sony Ericsson W800i (which i still have!) but didn't really used the Walkman part of my W800i much and sometimes use the camera, so basically it was just a phone i really needed to make calls, text sometimes mms and use the WAP/check my e-mails on.
I prefered the more "stick/candy bar" type phones rather then the clam/slide and small/slim ones as i know and can feel it being there. I also wanted to stay with SE previously having other SE handsets. So i finally decided to move to the K series and get the K810i and upgraded my memory card to a Scandisk 1GB and i am very happy with it!

The K810 is a great all rounder, but go for the K800. It is the same phone in a less stylish case, but it is much cheaper and has half the radiation foing into your brain.

It still has a poor quality cam. It may have autofocus, but it still has the same noisy sensor of the K610 as they cannot fit a good camera into a slim phone.
