Before I upgraded my p990 to the latest firmware in August I had installed Fring then did a back up of all contents. I then upgraded to the latest firmware and then restored my back up to the phone.
However now Fring won't completely install or uninstall from the phone and or the memorystick. Each time i turn the phone on or attach it to the PC and switch it to file mode then remove it the phone keeps saying "install Fring,cancel or details".

I need some help to remove the pesky thing cause it won't install.

this subject was already mentioned several times...it does not happen only with fring, and also happens on s60 v3 phones not just UIQ3

to solve it

1. Connect you phone in mass storage mode (AKA Data Transfer), or use a memory card reader.
2. Go to \\private\\10202dce on the phone's folder, from you PC
3. You'll find the installer files (.sis) just delete them and you're done.

Thanks once again but I do not know which one of them is Fring and I am afraid to remove the wrong one. Do you know the exact name of the file for Fring in the Private folder?
