Doe's anyone else think the volume of call's is far to quiet?
Having had a K800i and not having any problems with this and moving to the P1i, i now find I can't hear the caller when near a road or in a bar and even at full volume it's still far to quiet!
Do you think SE will be sorting this problem any time soon as it's really starting to annoy me.
thanks
Deano

Maybe it's a fault in my handset then? updated via DavinciTeam & SES the other day but it's still really bad. I can hardly hear then in the office let alone out on the street.

Deano, you are not alone in this. I also find the volume not loud enough during a call. I owned a Z800i before this one, but i never found myself kept asking the caller to speak louder otherwise I couldn't hear them.
i have also never experienced such soft volume on other phones either so its probably not my ears =)
is this a hardware defect or a software problem which is easier to solve?

I have this issue too. Only in calls; ringtones, music playback, etc. are all fine.

During the call the volume can be adjusted with the jog dial. May this be the problem? If I select full volume there, it is to loud for me...
If this is not the problem - how is the volume if you use the supplied headset? Ringtones and Musicplayback all use another speaker than calls. So it might be possible that the speaker is damaged.

I make sure the volume is at the highest everytime I pickup a call. It's already become a habit since the volune is really bugging me.
No, I havenot tried the headset yet, but that is a good tip. I'll try it tomorrow. I hope it's not a hardware defect as I got my phone in Hong Kong and the warranty does not extend to Canada where i live.
