> New O2 Data Tariffs
Bookmark topic
Hey guys
Thought this might interest alot of you.
I went on a Data Training course on Wednesday, and when I (and everyone else) asked what O2 are going to do to beat the competition on their unlimited tariffs she kinda rolled her eyes in the "ffs I've heard this 1000 times" look lol, and then told us this:
O2 are planning TWO new data tariffs that will blow the existing ones out of the water. They won't be QUITE as good as the Web 'n' Walk or X-Series ones, but will be close enough and will help O2 use them to combat the competitors in that aspect of their tariffs.
I'm estimating something like £10 for x-ammount of data or £15 for unlimited, but don't quote me on that.
Best bit is, it's soon, she said Q4, which starts in October, so her words were "1st October is a possibility".

Hi all,
I seem to remember all this being said before by both 02 and VodaFone and was wholly unimpressed by both companies new tariffs. But i suppose only time will tell, but even if what you are saying is right that still makes them nearly twice as expensive as what is available which IMO is hardly blowing the competition out of the water is it? in fact it's still not even close.
Marc

The current plans changes for when they are to be released are as follows
£7.50 for 250mb (You will get a sms/email after 200mb of use to pre warn you that you only have 50mb left to use before you are charged
or
£30 for 3.5gb
You can use the data on anything as far as im aware.
You can purchase a seperate £30 tarrif i you just want to use data, but both of the tarrifs can be added on to the paymonthly tarrif.
** The above is still subjet to change **
