It's like this, I just bought a W810i and I can install the Gmail app on it just fine. However, when I launch the app, it starts up but gets stuck at the screen where it's loading the inbox. The app works just fine on my K750i, so I really have no idea what the problem is. In case it is due to a missing security certificate, where can I get it? It's the Verisign 3 certificate, from what I read on the Gmail help page.

I cant get it to work on my k750 neither. I think this is a certificate issue. Compare the certificates installed on both phones.

I've checked the
Gmail website, it appears that the Verisign certificate is required, @tranced, you can get it from
THIS thread.
Unfortunately for me, I have that certificate on my W810i, so it has to be some other reason that I can't figure out. I just don't understand what could be wrong, I'm pretty sure everything's the same as they are on my K750i.

No, the thing is, I've already got that cert on my W810, so it has to be some other reason, but I'm really clueless about what it could be.

once i made 2 accounts for gmail in w810, one for outgoing emails and another one for incoming. as i recall, its also operator depending, cos my operator in that time ( t-mobile ) allowed to use its server for outgoing, but not for incoming emails, so i had to be tricky a bit

@Boba, thanks for the input, but as I've mentioned, I have the exact same settings on both my K750 as well as my W810, so I really don't know why the Gmail app works on one but not the other.
@Greggy, the Gmail app only offers pretty basic features, as you've mentioned. But I don't usually send/download attachments on my phone as data charges are exhorbitant. So the Gmail app is a hassle-free way of checking my emails on the go.

Gmail works on my k750i well . But I don't like that application. I better use OPERA MINI to go to my gmail inbox. Believe my guys its more economic that gmail application if you pay in per kb basis.
Have fun.
