Mabuhay to all,
Remember the time when VGA cam on a mobile phone was still the rage, k700 was a winner. The only major gripe back then was k700's limited memory.. Then came k750 to replace k700. From k700's 0.3MP cam, k750 had a 2.0MP AutoFocus cam, from k700's measly 41MB of limited memory, k750 had upto 4gigs expansion.

The additonal 50 on the index number of k700 provided monumental improvement/upgrade.
Do you guys think the additional 50 to k800 index (giving birth to sophia k850) also provided that much big improvement as it was in the case of k700 to k750?

Nope. its not the same as that thread. Basically, we are not comparing k800 to k850. we are comparing two generations of development. I am asking you guys of your thoughts about the level of UPGRADATION (is there such a word?) in k700~k750 and K800~k850. Does the huge upgrade of k700 to k750 (two years ago) holds the same "intensity" as to k800 to k850 now?

I think there's a lot of refinement in the K850. The design may be a little radical but everything else is a nice stup up. Maybe not as big of a step as K700 to K750 but definaitely bigger than K750 to K800.

Im more or less int he middle, and you are right! the K700i was definitely the winner! apparently, it could even exceed itself up to 1.2 megapixels! Dont believe me? then go to wikipedia and search K700i.

k700's megapixel shooting capability is due to interpolation...

,
thanks mustafabay

You distilled my thoughts.
Is the step up of k700 to k750 as BIG as the step up of k800 to k850?

It would be a huge step if the K850i camera was better! Let's hope for the better K850i successor.

yup, hoping for k900 to have CCD sensor.

but i think the k850 step up from k800 is BIGGER than the k750 step up from k700 because in the case of the former, both camera and video was improved. isn't it?

Its not just about camera and video. K800 just added size, 3g and more MP to the camera. K850 has a new platform with new functionality. It finally has a screen size we can't 100% complain about and the UI philosophy is new too. In a way this might be a jump as big as from T630 to K700, which was probably the biggest jump.
