How do I go about changing the main menu icons? Not the shortcut ones, but the main menu ones? And is there anyway to integrate this into a theme?

I'm assuming these are png files stored in Phone/resource/Apps since the icons for 3rd party apps is in M2/resource/apps. But how do I access this folder on the phone?
