Hey guy’s, I’ve got a slight dilemma and wanted to know if you guys could help, so here goes…

Last October I entered a new contract with T-Mobile, Both my receipt and contract say 12 months so when I went in to Newcastle today I was all excited about getting my hands on a k810i to be told that I’m on a 18 month contract, I showed the sales assistant my receipt and contract but she said that there was nothing she could do about it so I would have to phone up directly and talk with one of there upgrade advisors, so when I got in tonight I decided to give them a ring to be informed again that I am on a 18 month contract and not a 12 month one, I asked her where this left me because my paper work said 12 months and all she said was I would have to wait the remaining 6 months of my contract and apologised for the mistake.

So what should I do next?

well the contract you signed was a 12 month contract so therefore you never agreed to 18 months?

i would ask to speak to the manager and state that, then tell them if they dotn do anything about it you will be taking your business elsewhere

Phone them again and explain the situation. Legally if you signed a contract for 12 months then that is legally binding and you are no longer tied to them.

I’ve had a look about on the net but can’t find much help for my situation, the worst part is I’m on T-Mobile friends and family (1/2 price contract for life) so don’t really want to leave them, and I was in fact wanting to upgrade from flext 35 to flex 50 but now I’m not so sure

I might give them a ring later tonight or maybe just let it go because it looks doubtful that they are going to give me the upgrade

well you signed a 12 month contract and you have proof and if you explain this then they should be legally obliged to give you an upgrade as you never agreed to an 18 month contract

Tried phoning T-Mobile again just now, got talking with a really helpful guy called Bill, who strangely lives only 10 minutes drive from where I do, he went and spoke with a manager for me, came back and apologised for what the other T-Mobile staff had said and told me I was eligible for my upgrade as of today and that my new k810i in blue would be with me for Tuesday and that I my move to flext 50 would be immediate….. so I’m a happy chappy now, I guess letting my self cool down and not get to hot headed with them paid off in the end

So I will see yah all on Tuesday and post what I think of my new baby
