> 30 second backlight on P1
Bookmark topic
Is there anyway of preventing the P1's backlight from fading out after 30 seconds? Also, the security key lock kick in too soon, after 20 to 30 seconds. I have played about with the backlight and inactivity settings but haven't had any luck. I am just getting frustrated reading off the screen only for it to go black or the keylock to engage. HELP!

the trick is to set the backlight(dimmed) setting to a higher %
I have it set to the same as the backlight(normal) setting
you'll also need to set the Handheld: to On, click power save enabled and then I have that set to active after 1 minute

But then, you have the backlight always on, if you are on charging, haven't you?

@masseur
Nice tip there, thanks.
As i only received my P1i today, I'm forever playing with it, so the tip will come in very handy.
It's a pity the backlight doesnt go off when the keylock is activated. This would ideal, as I generally 'keylock it' when i have finished playing.

Useful thread. By the way, is there any way one can keylock the phone with the Backlight off kicking in immediately? Also, it would be useful if in "keylock" mode, pressing of the keys (expect the keylock one!) doesn't turn on the backlight? This is a common feature on Nokia and WM 6 phones...

When the keyboard is locked, pressing any key forces an immediate Dim. I have my Dim setting very low (2%), so it's almost as good as switching off the backlight. Back-Back-Key is my sequence for putting the phone to sleep.
