Which is better? Should I wait for the p800? What is the difference between the two?

In short, 7650 wins in thirdpart apps, twice as fast sending on gprs, much faster hscsd, t9, smaller size, price.
P800 wins in almost everything else.

Is it faster on the 7650? And what exactly are the differences?
This has alot to do with the operators as well.. for example in Norway, NetCom only support 28.8 as the fastest speed available, so in most cases the speed that the phone supports is usually not the speed you can get from your operator. p800 supports 3+1 or 2+2 when it comes to GPRS, correct me if I am wrong, so what does the 7650 support?
The way I see it the only thing that p800 lacks is T9, it wins over the 7650 on everything else!Oh, and dont forget that there are quite alot of ppl in here claiming it has some kind of predictive text recognition.. Guess we`ll have to wait and see when the final release is out!

Besides there'll be a price difference of about $300. Nokia will probably release a new communicator as an answer to the p800. And, @skjalg, there'll probably be quite some time before the p800 reaches the amount of third party apps available for the series 60. (That is if porting from symbian 6.1 to 7.0 will turn out to be too much of a hassle for developers).

Gprs on p800 4+1 on 7650 3+1/2+2
Hscsd on p800 28,8 on 7650 43,2. Vodafone Swe supports 43,2.
If p800 had t9 on virtual and real keypad, it would've been the greatest, but it hasn't.

At least it is good to see that the p800 wins over the 7650 on sending through GPRS! Strange it doesnt support higher HSCSD though!
Anyway, the differences betweent the 7650 and the p800 are major.. I dont really see how 7650 can compete with the p800 in any way..

I'm a bit devided, I've got a 7650 now, which I'm pleased with, but still the p800 seems far more advanced... Have to give it a go.

I would go for the P800. They approx the same size and weight. But the P800 has a larger, better and brighter screen (TFT). AFAIK the 7650 uses a STN screen like the rest of Nokia phones and SE T68/T300.
Also the P800 has 12MB and the 7650 has 3.5MB. Besides the P800 can use memorystick duo. So you can have lots of memory.
Nokia 7650 has a lousy bluetooth implementation (doesn't support the headset profile).
7650 has T9 which P800 doesn't have. But on the other hand the P800 has a touch screen with handwriting recognition, which is a far superior way to entering text anyway.
Who uses HSCSD when you can use GPRS? If you use HSCSD, then you should probably go for the 7650. But GPRS is much cheaper.
