I have the T300 and the t68's Phone book and text message manager does not work at all with it. I can't manage the contacts at all.

Will there ever be a T300 version of this software? It would really be nice if SE would get some communication software together before they release a product.

Also their MMS composer sucks balls big time! You can't even add text to the messages just type over pictures and it will incorporate that into the gif file. Also no gif animation is available and you can't even control that a midi would play throughout multiple slides. Kinda POS if you ask me. Their development MMS editor works a lot better, too bad that that one has issues with imelodies that have vibrate and light signals in them and it does not work with midis at all as it was made for the t86i. I'd love to see them develop that product more and release it to the masses. The MMS composer looks like poop and works like poop, it is more of an image editor (a poor one at that) than a true MMS composer. It does not use any of the possibilities of MMS standard.

But my biggest gripe is that there is no available phone book editor for it yet......

Also the configuration manager program of the t68 does not work with it fully either. How long till we, T300 users, get some reasonable and usable software for our T300?

I am disappointed at SE for not having this software available yet. Having to enter contacts manually really sucks big time when most mobile phone have some sort of sync software available.

It seems to me that SE rushed this thing out the door in order to get it into consumer's hands. They are most likely putting everything together as we speak, and hopefully will have the software available soon.

I am also dissappointed...but remember this is a low end phone.
I have found a less painful (but still tedious) workaround!
If you use outlook (or anyother Contact Managemnt software that supports VCF) save the contact as a VCF file (you will need to do this indivdually for each contact in Outlook, I have not found a way in outlook to do that automatically). Then connect your T300 to your PC over IR (have not tried with a Cable) and transfer to your phone.
I used the built in IR transfer app on XP.

The caveats here are 2:
1) You will have to press ok on your phone for every contact that gets delivered
2) do not select more than 10 contacts at once to send over or the application will not transfer anything

How do you manage or copy events from outlook to the phone. I have tried to save an event from outlook to a vcs format and send it to my phone but it does nothing. I did get a "to do" item from a PDA to IR to my phone but it is not a scheduled task. If anybody knows anything about it it would be great.

Personnaly I did the transfert of contacts using an Ipaq with all my contacts in it.

I selected all contacts in pocket outlook, then send them using infra red.

Unfortunately I had to push ok button 177 times to store all my contacts. But now it's in (with 2 or 3 numbers for each contact and some email addresses).

My phonebook in now full but I have all I need.

I also tried to use a software from bvrp called winphone pocket (always on pocket pc). They will soon support Sony ericsson phones as the T300, and they have a contacts synchronization mechanism.

Hope it will work !

That software is nice and all but you have to buy their infrared adapter or their USB data cable. I have neither so it does not work at all .

I have a generic USB IrDA adapter that works fine to connect to the phone but no editing features are available at all......

u can enter all your contacts with notepad.... it's really simple... just create a new contact on your phone, with all informations filled, and beam it to your PC. Then, open with Notepad, and see how it's scripted... so, do the same with all your contacts.... it's easier than directly on the phone...
