Can anyone help me sort out this problem please?

I receive SMS ok, but when i send they stay in the outbox and continually send, nothing is shown in my SENT folder.

I am on O2. I have contacted O2 and checked all my settings, and everything appears as it should be. They don't have a clue. They have asked me to put my SIM into another phone to see whether its the phone or the SIM

I had only just been setting up my Email on my phone, so whether i changed anything in there which caused this. O2 say that it wouldnt.

Any ideas???

Remove and reinsert your sim.

If that doesn't help try it with another sim card.

This happens on my P1i too sometimes. (I am on Vodafone).

I turned the phone off and restarted and it worked ok. The second time it happened, it worked on the second attempt to send it.

I would say it is some sort of bug and hopefully it will be fixed up.

I also sometimes don't get text messages (that I know have been sent to me) until I restart the phone.

Annoying.

mine has just fixed itself

my grey haired Mother got a text from we 20times.... which freaked her out a bit!

I'm gonna mourn at O2 to get my '00s of text refunded!

I have just spoken to O2. It was their problem, localised in my area.... Northants.
in 48hrs, IF they appear on my bill, they take them off.

I am more pleased to hear it wasnt my lovely P1i, than the text charges

just a quick side note about turning the phone on and off to recieve texts, you should be able to use the get/send from the more menu in the messaging app. Weather that is enough for subsiquent messages or if they still get stuck till a reboot, I don't know. Reasonably useful hint anyway I hope!
