Hello everyone. Since I am a private investor in the share market and a avid gadget user, I thought you might find this fact interesting. http://sg.finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=NOK&t=6m&l=on&z=m&q=l&c=
Surely no one could foresee this and I would like to know if there are any other happy Nokia share holders out there? Are you aware of any other electronic company (never mind cell phones) which did even better over the same periode? The N95 is truly a trend setting device. Which other phone/gadget will be even more successfull in your opinion. PM's are welcome. Greetings from South Africa.

I think this is not surprising and may not have too much to do with N95. Over the period, most markets are generally on the uptrend. If a company has no bad news (and profit is increasing), then it most probably rode the market uptrend.

PM's not required my dear friend. Even more successful over the same period? Try Nintendo for size. NTDOY.

Greetings from Wiiland.

The price surge may be not caused by N95 selling but N95 proved Nokia has all the technology and can build the best phone in the market.

@golden Yes Bud, well spotted The thing with Nintendo is - The market was difficult to 'read' (entry point) because the wii had stiff competition from Microsoft and Sony. On the other hand Nokia was prety strait forward to 'see it coming' (even for a relative beginner). And Yes the N95 was a 'triger point', not that much the device itself but the technology it managed to successfully converge. And most important of all - it had no real competition. It looks like Nintendo is running out of steam thou . Let's hope, Nokia will last a bit longer. I have changed most of my portofolio from Nintendo to Nokia (a month or so ago).

Huh, it looks like Nokia is really 'steaming ahead' How about a 30% increase in share price over the last month? That's 1% per day, Sat and Sun included. Nintendo's share price increased too over the same periode, althou not as much. It looks like I have made the switch just at the right time
