> Laptop with Bluetooth card to t68i via GPRS
Bookmark topic
I have a Blue Monkey - Bluetooth PCMCIA card slotted into my laptop. I have configured it to connect my laptop via the card to my t68i. It uses a dialup connection and connects at 9.6. What I would like to do is connect to my t68i with a GPRS connection to the bluetooth card in my laptop.
I have tried different modem drivers - bluetooth - GPRS etc and they all connect with a dialup connection at 9.6.
I managed to connect my ipaq with my t68i over GPRS and it took days of learning. I'm hoping that someone has managed it with a laptop thus saving me a lot of pain!
Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks
Martian

You need to dial a different number, the correct number is *98*1# where the 1 stands for the cid-number of your gprs data-account in the phone...
You can continue to use the default 'Bluetooth modem' (or whatever it's called, the one that's working now)

Hi DOUBLEDUH
I have tried your advice - still have a problem.
With the t68i I can select 02 WAO GPRS under the WAP Services option and the phone connects fine with GPRS i.e it connects quick and takes me to the o2 Main Menu - so the phone works OK.
When I enter the settings you suggested with my CID set to 1 as it is in the phone - I encounter the following.
It tries to connect then the Computer shows - verifying user name and password - then the phone shows - GPRS request rejected. I have tried other modem selections under the dialup to no avail.
Can you continue to help me please

are you sure that o2 allows you to use gprs for other things than wap only? some providers use different apn's for wap- and web-access, so you may have to make another data-account on the phone...
