Hello..

as some of you may be aware I've just moved house (hence my lack of being here)

At my new address freeview doesn't work and I don't want sky or virgin....

Do I have any other options of getting free to air TV channels?

as atm I only get BBC1/2/ITV and Ch4... while I'm grateful of this I miss BBC3 and BBC4 greatly...

any ideas chaps? or do i really really have to pay £17 a month to Mr Murdoch??

danke

PS... I'm no tight arse, but freeview does all i need....

PPS... has to be TV based and not streaming via the web... only get 6mb speed here

PPPS... knew I should have checked things before moving!!

well if you have to go with sky/virgin DO NOT GO WITH VIRGIN!!! THEY SUCK YOU IN WITH NICE PRICES AND WHEN THEY ADD ON ALL THEIR EXTRAS YOU END UP PAYING DOUBLE WHAT THEY ADVERTISED!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry sorry, just had to make my point there!

ps: the service breaks down ALLOT

I've got 2 freeview boxes....

one for my tv and one for me mac..

neither work and the freeview website states that there is no freeview support in my area (which I don't understand.. I live in Poole, a major shipping port and a fairly well to do place...) but sorry, freeview boxes are a no go and an apple tv streams from the web.. no good as web connection is shocking....

6mb aint shocking imo. But fair enough.

Why dont you try getting a old ITV digital or one of the first sky boxes and see if you can pick anything up

Just an idea

maybe you get sky for now (check if you can cancel your contract early). your area will probably go digital soon, so you may be able to use the freeview box. (seems the best solution.)

No problem mate

Unfortunately you cant get this in a deal with sky broadband and phone which would've knocked the price down but £150 aint bad for 200 channel with a Satellite box etc.

You might be able to get one of them special cards to unlock all the channels

For full advantages to freeview see here: LINK
