> PC help needed, urgent!

I got Encarta 2007 and installed it on Vista. Worked well for a couple of months until this happened. Anywhere i click in the encyclopedia or dictionary , i get the same error. I dont get it, i uninstalled it and reinstalled it but i got the same error. Please tell me whats going on as i payed a lot of money for this programme.

Looks as if encarta uses the internet for information, test ure net connection cos there could be a problem at your end. Or it could be a problem at their end.

No it doesnt use internet, it was working well a couple of weeks ago.

That would restore my system to 3 weeks ago. I cant do that. Perhaps some insight to why it happened?

i think your firewall or windows defender may be blocking it so check that....

@QVGA U didnt mention error no, or error msg. What i assume is, there is some program files in window like system 32 n common file which window shares wid different programs. So while uninstalling another software u delete those files who shares diff progs makes some programs to stop working and in this case reinstall not works because of old registery in window, a system resoter or system repair will be help for tis. I would perfer system repair so u dont loose ur store data.
