Does anyone know if this will have any affect on the price point of the W960 when it debuts later on this year? I think it will, as Apple seems to making waves in the mobile phone market as of late. You better believe the other "Top Four" in the mobile market, Sony included, will have their collective eyes on Apple from here on out (if they don't already...). Sony has yet to name a price point (pretty smart, if you ask me, in light of recent events. Unlike Nokia...) for it's upcoming W960, and yet here we are 2 months in since the iphone's launch and Apple has already announced a $200 price drop in the 8GB model while also discontinuing it's 4GB version all together (is a 16GB iphone too far off? Maybe by Christmas?)! Could the W960 debut at a lower pricepoint than the P1 did when it finally comes out (possibly resulting in a P1 price drop as well?)? Heavy news indeed in the mobile phone market and great news for mobile phone enthusiast, if you ask me! I can't imagine that this won't have some sort of impact on other upcoming mobiles like the 8GB N81 and 8GB N95 (which are both being marketed as multi-media smart phones and have tentative launch dates already announced and prices inexcess of the iphone's new lower price!) as well! Will the european price point reflect this price drop when the iphone finally makes it's debut across the pond? What do you think?...

Just go to www.sonyericsson.com and look for the W960

Well... I highly doubt the W960 will come in under $600... but if it does... then great. I'm guessing was targetting an $800 intro price.. we'll see how things go.
