> Sony Ericsson 520i intermittent white screen
Bookmark topic
Hey, Everyone,
I've been reading and trying to find this but I'm having problems finding an answer. My 520i phone will bootup, get the Sony Ericsson Logo, and then boot-up normal and give me my Normal background with my Network Provider listed. If I go ahead and close my phone lid, and then when I try and re-open it, I have a completely white screen. I can manually dial a number and get connected witout any problems, BUT I can't see any incoming calls or anything. Is there anything anyone can suggest?
Thanks,

Could be a problem with the flex cable, it's probably become damage and need replacing. Though it could be one of the connectors has worked loose or dust has gotten into it, might just ned this taking out, cleaning and re-inserting.

Yeah, I thought it could be a cable of some sort...any idea what's involved to simply check that flex cable and see if it's loose or seated incorrectly?

That's probably the best first option, to make sure it's seated properly on the mainboard and that no dust/dirt has gotten into the connector. Involves taking the phone apart if you feel confident/competent enough to to that, should be a fairly simple dissasembly
