> So the W850i needs a USIM (3g sim card) ?
Bookmark topic
I just got myself a W850i 2nd hand off ebay, and tried putting in my (from 3+ years ago) o2 PAYG sim card in it. It came up with a message saying "Insert correct USIM"
Now, does this just mean that I need to get a new sim from O2, that is a 3g sim card (a USIM?) and that will work with the phone?
Or does it mean the phone is locked? It doesn't say anything about locking, just that "insert correct USIM" message. The box has 3 on it though, so maybe it's locked to the 3 network and I'll need to unlock it somehow.
Any ways to check if its locked? And if it is locked, and I unlock it, will I still need one of the newer sim cards to work with the phone? Or will and old 2g sim card work, just not with the 3g stuff like video calling (I don't need the actual 3g stuff, only to get the phone working)
Thanks a lot anyone who can help
