> K800 Startup Problem
Bookmark topic
I have an O2 UK branded K800 and am having the following problem at startup:
2 weeks ago after getting off the plane from holidays I switched my phone on and the them wallpaper seemed corrupt, tried different themes but they were all the same, so turned the phone off and on a few times and the problem corrected itself.
A few days later after connecting the phone to the PC to transfer pictures I got the WSOD and after removing/reinserting the battery etc all I was getting was the IR light flashing when I pressed the power button.
Used Wotanserver to update the EROM and this was successful, then used SEUS to update the firmware and this again was successful and the phone was working ok.
A few days later I got a new upgrade phone so was deleting contacts etc from the k800 and thought it would be handier just to do a master reset, when the phone restarted it had a screen showing just the the background wallpaper with nothing else and depending on what buttons I pressed sometimes select/ok options would appear 2 thirds up the screen instead of at the bottom.
Using SEUS again corrects this but it re-occurs everytime I do a reset, another thing I noticed is the O2 'Welcome' screen at start up doesnt appear anymore.
Problem definintely appears software related as upon reflashing with seus the phone works correctly!
Have considered using wotanserver to upgrade the firmware instead of SEUS but not sure if this will make any difference.
any suggestions of how to correct this welcome as I was hoping to pass the phone on to but want to make sure its 100% 1st

Ended up using Wotanserver as I couldnt find the right files to use with XS++ and 7 euros is a small price to pay to fix a good phone!
flashed the original K800 O2 UK firware and it seems to have fixed the problem

did a master reset to check and it worked ok this time although it meant i lost some of the themes etc which were on the phone after i flashed it.
