Whilst charging the phone via USB, my screensaver doesnt kick in - the screen stays on - inevitably resulting in a slower rate of charge.
Is there a trick to ensure the screen blanks out whilst charging?

I've had problems with the screen saver not kicking in on both USB and the mains charger. Plus, when I then remove the charger the screen saver doesn't kick in at all unless I reboot.
Can't recreate this bug and it's more an annoyance than anything else. A reboot normally cures this for a good couple of weeks.

I found a solution for me:
-device->backlight->auto for all settings.
it seems to work now.
