Just had a horrible experience with SE svc ctr in HK today. Wanted to get a part replaced but was told they only service SE handsets distributed for sale in HK. Mine was bought on holidays in Singapore but I stated I was willing to pay for parts & labour.
So I ask them what if I was an overseas business traveller who happened to have a problem with my SE handset while on business in HK. And their response was basically a shrug, an apology and too bad!
They scan the barcode inside the battery compartment and if it doesn't register in their database, you're up ...'s creek.
My real question then is anyone here know of third party reputable repair shops in HK that offers authentic SE replacement parts?
As a last resort, I reckon I would have to go across the border to the SE svc ctr in Shenzhen mainland China where they'll do anything you want as long as you're willing to pay.
