The icon has mysteriously disappeared now, but I don't know why it was there or why it disappeared!

The icon itself was circular, with a musical note occupying the bottom right of the circle and, protruding from the top right of the musical note arcing over to the left side of it, was an arrow. The icon appeard above and left to the envelope in the send message screen - the screen listing the recipients of the message and just before you hit send.

What the hell was it???!!!

It's not a status bar icon, it appeared like in the picture: it's the circular thing above and left of the pic, on the message send screen.

It also appeared in the same relative location when writing the subject for a new calendar entry!

Very wierd. I thought it was something to do with my profile, but I hadn't edited any of them. Nor had I edited any settings for my phone.

maybe that's a voice message? as in someone trying to send you music tones over mms? you could get someone to try it again, see if it appears.

Thanks. It took me ages...

Definitely not a music tone being sent - I've never recieved one. I'm dubious as to whether it's related to anything being sent because it appeared in the "Subject" edit screen of new calender appointments as well.

Strange.
