Whether I type it into the log in area or in a text it won't appear! in Messages,Notes or anything else works fine but not in the browser! Now I have a damn Opera mini browser and I hate it! Did any of you have this problem until now? I can't unistall Opera, can I?Any ideea?

I've never had or heard of such a problem and no, you can't uninstall Opera, as it resides in ROM.

But this is really strange..

Does it work when you type it on the virtual keyboard ?

Have you installed LongCuts ?
If yes, try uninstalling it..

Hi, I had this problem with the latest firmware of the P990 as well as with the P1 3 or 4 times.

As soon as this error appears - no way of entering space in opera is working any longer. And also text prediction acts insane.

Really weird and strange. But after switching the phone off and on again - everything was back to normal. Killing only opera with the task manger does not help.

Hi. No, no LongCuts installed. I mean, I had it and unistalled it as it was only working partially. You can see some screenshots in my blog, here.
Works just fine in everything else including Opera Mini but not in Opera!
@Dominique: well, thanks for the tip, that's what I wanted to know if there si someone elese with this problem. I am not sure, but I guess I restarted the phone yesterday buit the bug was still there.
I'll try it now again and see if it works out.
Later edit: retarted it and still not working which means I am stuck with Opera Mini. That's why I paid top cash for a crap phone. I've had it with SE.

As I said, I use this one exactly cuz I can't use the normal browser anymore but it's very basic and has no speed processing the writing. It sucks.

I don't think the answer is to ignore the problem and find another browser, but I also don't think the P1 itself is to blame.

I've not used Longcuts but it seems most likely that since you installed this software, and its purpose is to map keys, and you found problems with it and so uninstalled it, that most likely this has left some trace behind causing this issue.

Obviously a master reset will fix the problem but perhaps reinstalling this software and perhaps unmapping everything and then uninstalling might help? maybe worth a try before going for the reset...

ive had this issue too, and its not longcuts. it has to do with low memory on the phone, at least for the p990. when that error pops up, the spacebar bug kicks in.

If low mem would be the reason, it should work after a restart.

But he said that it's not working..
