Today when I connected my P1i to my computer it said "Installing P700 software..."
Anyone else have seen this?

I don't recall what it said when I first connected mine to my mc, but I do recall that P700 was the prototype name for the P1, so one question might be whether you got a retail version or a prototype?

so you may compare the manufacturing date....
maybe, leks' phone(probably a proto) is older than yours, masseur.

mine is 07W28 but I suspect if it was a real proto it would say SE123 on the outside although PeterKay said the o/s said P700

Mine did that too directly after upgrading to the new firmware. Haven't happened since.

My proto reports back as being a P700i. When connected to a DVT client, it says the same.
