Hello, Everyone,

I wasn't sure if this post was supposed to be in the software section or here, but I figured since this problem is mroe exclusive to the P1i (and M600i i guess) it made more sense to post it here.

Anyways, I'm wondering if any of you have run into this problem. You're there trying to dial a number and the number goes something like this >> 1-800-GO-FEDEX and you look at your brand spanking new P1i and then it occurs to you that they didn't label the number keys with your standard alpha lettering (ie. 2= ABC, 3=DEF, etc etc). You assume (incorrectly) that they would have compensated for this by making the actualy letters of your QWERTY auto translate to a number but, nope it doesn't do that either. So basically you are kind of stuck figuring out what the number is manually.

Now, I'm just wondering if there's a program out there that can help with this problem, or if anyone knows any tricks for this. This problem is probably more prevelant in the US (though I don't know how often other countries use alpha letters in their phone numbers). Any suggestions?

Haha, you pointed out a very interesting 'issue'. I guess, unless you know the old school way of lettering and numbering, there is nothing much you can do. You can, however, save a pic of a standard phone number and set it as ur wallpaper, hence you'll never forget it, hehehe.

Interesting topic. It should be easy to fix (at least someone can make a very simple program where you can convert it).
However, I think it would be a useful feature that you can call using alpha numeric letters that the phone can 'convert' according to the standard assignment ABC=1...

Someone who is a bit more familiar with wiki should put it in here as a feature request to SE:
