Hi,

PS : I did a search here and on other forums, but
did not find PARTICULAR info for my problem.

I am on O2 in UK.
I hv T68i, TECOM BT3030 configured and working on my PC.
Today i tried to setup dialup networking on my PC using
the T68i as a modem.
1) When I try to use the CSD/HSCSD
DUN settings to dial to an existing ISP account it just
starts dialing (also shows calling on the T68i screen) and
immediately stops with the error :
"Error 678 There was no answer"
2) When I try to use the GPRS DUN setting, it start
dialing using *99***1# (no user / pass). it starts
dialing out, shows "Registering your computer on network"
on the Pc and connecting on the T68i screen. Then after
about 20secs, it shows following errors :
ON T68i Screen : GPRS request rejected
ON PC Screen : Check networking protocol connections
TCP/IP reported error 738: The server did not assign an address.

I guess if i change the TCP/IP settings to use a particular
IP address, this should solve the problem.

Please can someone point me in the right direction.
Any help is gr8ly appreciated. Thnx.

how did u setup the connection?
best way is to use the dial-up setup wizard (download from Sony Ericsson website). If you haven't tried, try that. I had that message error 738 (server did not assign IP) too, before I used this setup wizard.

otherwise I will get on the backs of O2 engineers(or cleaners?)
