> Returning K750i from W800i firmware
Bookmark topic
Hi,
My last K750i fell to bits so I've replaced it with a second hand one, but this has been upgraded to W800i firmware.
I miss a few minor things like the activity menu. It also appears Bluetooth doesn't work - it can't find anything at all. I don't know if this is related but wonder if it might be e.g. MAC address or something.
I'm told I can downgrade again via DaVinci - is this true? Will this then let me use the SE Update Service or am I now permanently locked out of that with this handset?
Cheers,
Rob

You can downgrade throught SEUS or using XS++ to flash your phone if it is CID49. If it is CID36 you can use FAR Manager to flash your phone back with K750 firmware.

Thanks.
In return here's what I found out:
* It was classed as brown in DaVinci
* I used FAR to turn it back to red
* I used DaVinci to turn it back to a K750i
* I can now use SEUS again
* Bluetooth wasn't working because it was missing the aerial
The last point was quite surprising, to me anyway. I noticed right at the end - there is a small piece of metal wire partly embedded in the plastic case next to the camera button. This is the Bluetooth aerial. If you don't have one or it isn't connected properly, Bluetooth will work but not find anything.

This is the backplate of the phone. I'm holding on to the camera connector. Next to that, with the two large contacts, is the vibrate motor.
To the immediate right of those contacts is a plastic wall, then you can just make out another couple of wire contacts. This bit of wire runs right, up until the wall before the camera button. That's the BT aerial.
Out of the phone it's a bit more substantial:
Hope that helps.

That IS the bluetooth aerial. Just check if it is connected to the mainboard good. It will work then

Yeah, I know - it was missing completely in the latest phone I bought. The one in the pics is from my broken K750i, so I just moved it over & all is good.
