I'm interested in time-lapse photography, but i can only do it manually (turn camera on, snap a photo, turn it off). Is there any affordable product that can automatically take time-lapse photos? Thanks in advance.
An example of time-lapse filming here:

can't you just take a video and delete frames?

I've tried this with my Canon 300D (Digital Rebel). Using an AC adapter and a USB cable to a laptop I use the RemoteCapture tool provided with the camera to capture photos at fixed intervals. To combine the captured JPEGs to an MPEG I used a tool under Linux - can't remember which one.

@Amnesia, that could work, but i guess the initial video file would be huge in size, and editing would be tedious. What can i say, i'm a lazy man
AbuBasim, i found a program called AnimatorDV that does something similar. My webcam works with it but i think my Digital Camera is not compatible to plug in and use, it simply switches to file transfer mode.
Either way, i'm looking for some gadget that could do the job without a PC connection. But i think such hardware are custom built with special circuitry and craftsmanship. Still open to suggestions though.

I made this with a program called Wcapture and a cheap £4.00 web cam, and "Windows movie maker" which is on Xp as standard. I think with a quality cam you'll get much better results.
The video I made took a day, with a photo taken on the web cam every 15 seconds or so.

many cameras support time-lapse photography - try to search "intervalometer" - at least that's how it is called in my Canon S3.
I was also able to do some time-lapse photography with my SEK700 before using the Webcam software from
http://www.hitziger.net/ but it requires a PC to handle the software that automatically switches your phone to camera mode, take a snapshot and save it in the computer's hard disk then returns the phone to standby mode. Connection can be via cable or bluetooth.

I had a Sony Handicam that did time-lapse, but it was only in VGA resolution. I can't remember the exact model because some scumbag stole it, but it cost around £300. You didn't need a computer becuase you could either plug it directly into a TV, video or DVD recorder.
I would imagine that a recent camcorder costing upwards of £500 should have a half-decent time-lapse facility?

I found some model names on the internet, i'm gonna search them around to see if they are available in Turkish market.
There is just so much into custom electronics stuff, i am more inclined to find something that does it all automatically and save me from the trouble
I'll update as soon as i come across anything.
