it says on the website that it is able to go thru gprs connection. i have tried everything but can not get it to work with tzones. is it because it might be trying to access a port that is blocked on that tzones? does any1 use this software and wat data plan are u running on?

sounds like you're using a wap data connection rather than a full gprs data connection
is the APN of your data account set to general.t-mobile.uk or is it something with "wap" in it?

so does this mean that the $5.99 plan is their wap data and their $19.99 plan is their full gprs data connection?

that's your problem then.
voicestream? sounds like you are in US so I can't help you with correct APN and in any case you'd prob have to get tmob there to activate so perhaps just check with them

Yep, I know exactly what you are talking about. I encountered the same problem using T-Mobile. I found out that it is indeed T-Mobile that has the issue with the P1, because I swapped an AT&T SIM in my P1 and then the Handy Weather worked like a charm.
I think it's because the software is using port 80 instead of its own port. T-Mobile is finnicky with that unless you get the $20 per month full Internet option.

yea hopefully an update comes out for where u can change the port urself. i really like the program but not being able to use it on gprs and only wifi when i can get it isnt worth paying for it. im resorting to getting rss feeds for weather at the moment.
