When you activate the EA sync pre-installed SW with the P1i, the local PC suite sync is disabled for Mail, Calendar, Contacts and Tasks. This is to avoid conflicts and duplicates. I can see why this is relevant for Mail, Calendar and Contacts, since these are supported by EAS. Not for Tasks, however, since these are NOT supported by EAS. This leaves me in a situation where I cannot sync my Tasks (Outlook) at all! I have been in touch with SE but there is no fix or work around. They tell me to try a different push mail client (like Ericsson EMO) but this requires licenses and a separate push server installation, etc. I have tried to get a response from DataViz (company behind EAS) to check wheter there are any plans to include support for Task synk in future releases but haven't got a reply yet.
Anyone else who has experienced this problem and who might have a brilliant work around or hack?
I love the phone but this is annoying enough to make we want to change phones! Doesn't quite sit well with the title "smart phone".
