Might be getting a P1i off of gumtree, seller says its from the USA but will have worldwide warranty.

is this true?

Hi all,

This is something that actually really annoys me we live in a Global Market or so we all keep on being told and yet all manufacturers refuse to give Worldwide warranty personally i think this is just wrong and unjustifiable.

just for clarification, and your user guide says this too, warranty is only in the country where you bought the phone. The exception to this is when you buy within EU and the warranty applies throughout the whole of EU

there are some sony products with limited 'tourist' worldwide warranty though. would be a great idea if SE implements the idea, but i don't see it coming in the foreseeable future.

Doesn't APPLE have a Worldwide Warranty on it's products?
im sure my ex-iPod mini had one as I bought it from America before it got launched here
