I got my new iPhone on Wednesday, and after about 30 minutes of careful and purposely slow, on my part, I wanted to make sure I triple checked everything to not screw things up, I was up and running after unlocking the iPhone to work with T-Mobile USA.
After syncing with iTunes, I was able to import music (well of course!), photos (using sub-folders in my pictures folder), contacts (Windows Contacts on Vista), bookmarks (Safari on Windows), and movies (iTunes). Very painless, simple, easy.
Unlocked iPhone on T-Mobile USA and a few applications installed
It takes a bit getting used to not have the tactile feel but I think I've gotten significantly better at typing and moving around in the phone. Speakerphone is quite good, keypad has ABC etc on the keys, unlike the P990i's keypad in Flip Off/Open mode.
Placing calls, receiving calls, checking voicemail, adding/editing contacts, viewing contacts, favourites (sorta like Speed dial), and recent calls works fairly well, it takes a bit getting used to the non

way but honestly it's not that big a change, one adapts to the iPhone way of things very quickly. I kinda like the HUGE contact photos you see when someone calls you.
SMS: My biggest problem with SMS is the lack of delivery reports. I can live with not being able to delete a message or not being able to forward a message. I can also live with threading where it lumps messages sent from the web into one big group or splits 'em up into separate threads depending on the number assigned by the carrier.
Mail is a-okay, no built in Spam or mass delete, but no biggie, once I was up and running, I had no issues with it. It can read PDFs and even Word 2007's .docx files, which is great!
Built in iPod is nice, Steve Jobs is right when he says this is the best iPod made to date. It's really great. Only thing I haven't figured out is how to start the iPod in shuffle mode using the headset's mic clicking action.
The best part is Safari. Opera Mini 4 Beta can not hold a candle in front of Safari, it's that great. Apart from Java and Flash, everything works like you expect it to. Even fancy Ajax heavy sites like Google Reader.

I love

phones, especially the K750i but i gotta tell you the iPhone is something unique, the things it gets right are really really really great. The things it gets wrong are not too bad in my book, so it's easy to live with its flaws.
I've been telling everyone I know that you have to try the phone in person to see what it feels like. All the doubts quickly vanish when you see well it works overall.
I am definitely a happy buyer and a supporter of the iPhone brand now. I just hope Apple doesn't start re-locking unlocked phones in the upcoming firmware update. I obviously will wait and watch until it's confirmed that it is safe to update.
Edited to add: Esato's branding hides the carrier name but trust me it says T-Mobile there and it works on T-Mobile USA, including Edge.

Well, I have done same thing, and yes - I am on T-Mobile too. My W950i goes for sale and I really tired to wait for W960.
iPhone will always be in my pocket from now on. I don't see any competitor who is that close. Are you kidding me? A 8Gb unique phone for $399 only?

Definitely easy to use. I've gotten far more comfortable and am now as fast as I was on the

phones.
I am even used to living without delivery notifications. For Speed Dial, my trick is to always put it on the "Favorites" section before hitting the home button so that I can do 1 touch dialing when I go back to the phone app.
