> Changing Language in K750i
Bookmark topic
Hello everyone..
I bought a k750i and it's a great phone, but the firmware has no Spanish either for menus or for writing messages. Is there anyway to change this feature and having the Spanish option in my phone?
Thank you

Hi heinercg and welcome on Esato
Depending on where you bought your K750i, it came with a specific firmware and that determines which languages are embedded on it. That means if you want to have Spanish in your available languages, you need to change your phone firmware to a local firmware that includes it.
First, determine what local firmware you have. In standby, press > * meaning right on your joystick, * is the star key of the keypad). Ignore whatever menu pops up (like the shortcut you assigned to the right joystick).
This takes you to a "Service" menu. Choose "Service info" then Software info. Go down to the Customization part, the first line says CDA, the second one indicates firmware details. In the end, you should have something like EUROPE_1 or TAIWAN, or whatever.
Check the following list :
http://www.seuniverse.com/forums/thread4891.html
This tells you what languages are included in each firmware, and also which firmware you should get in order to have Spanish.
I used to use Da Vinci (www.davinciteam.com) to change my firmware from THAI to EUROPE_3 in order to have French and Dutch. That method is reliable and not too costly (10 EUR for the credits). All you need is to download the Davinci client software to your computer, buy the credits, and follow the instructions given by the client software. A lot has been written on Esato about this, mostly in the Software section.
Good luck!
PS i am not affiliated to Davinci in any way, but as far as i know, it's one of the only 2 or 3 methods that allow you to change your phone's CDA (firmware localization) and therefore, language pack.

Hi and welcome here
You need a R1CA021 or R1DB001 FS AMERICA_2. One of these contain spanish from LA english and portuguese.
